Easy question first. The blocks don't come with it. Clear stamp blocks make positioning easier, but I have been known to just put it on the back of one of my other stamps in a pinch. I also use them without blocks for texture.

As for the dimensions - the two smaller stamps (including the one on the bottom left corner) are close to 2" x 2". The biggest one is 5" x 3-1/4". The second biggest is 4" x 3".
