I cannot even begin to share how much I use my Mini Evolution! I took my time evaluating all of the small die cutting tools and am so happy that I picked this one! It's on my desk and it sticks to my Tim Holtz glass mat really well. If you do a lot of smaller die cutting - this is the one!

Was looking for a small die cut machine for my desk top. I chose this one because of the 3 inch opening and the longer cutting plates (as compared to others). It's perfect! Works well and easily. Small enough to join the clutter on my craft desk.

I absolutely live this little die cutting machine!! It is small enough to sit on my desk, and will be used often! It turns smoothly, and cuts nicely.
This is a very small die cutting tool! I was anticipating it to be bigger, more like 1/2 the size of my Sizzix Big Shot. But it works for the little dies. It doesn't stay suctioned onto my table very well while using it. Wish that was more securing.
I'm very pleased with the die cutter so far. It cuts very well and is so convenient to have near my work space.
I purchased this for a birthday gift for my niece, along with a plethora of other crafting items. Great color and good ratings led my to choose this particular item. I know she will be very happily surprised when she opens her package that is arriving today!!!

It here is no crafting tool I love more. I have electric machines and the larger crank machines, but this is my go to for small die cuts. Sits on my desk and I use it often. Purchased 3 years ago and still using original plates even though they show their wear, as to be expected by how much I use it, they still work. So easy to use!!! Small and light so I take it to weekly craft club. Did I mention I love it!!!
2024 update: still my most used crafty tool!
I love this little tool...I have the Gemini Junior but it takes so long to run a plate through. When I only want to cut a small die, this is the perfect solution...quick and easy.

Can any company's dies and folders be used in this machine, or are you limited to only WeR dies? Thank you!

You should be able to use other dies or embossing folders, as long as they fit in the machine. Hope this helps!

I have a die from Elle's Studio that is barely just over 3" x 8" inches. Will this work? If the plates are exactly 3" only, I'm worried this die will be too tight since it is just a hair over.

As this is a very small die cutting machine meant for dies approximately 2- 2.5" in size, it is not likely to have a magnetic plate available. Hope this helps.

You might try adding a magic mat to your sandwich set. I use the Matt with all my machines and love it. It replaces one of the plates. Since starting that I haven’t had to replace my plates.

There used to be a mini magic mat that fit the smaller machines, is it ok to use a magic mat w/ these smaller machines? I ask bc I'm willing to cut one of the smaller magic mats to fit, but will it be ok to use it or will it be too thick for the smaller machines?

I would cut a magic mat and give it a try. I have a variety of die cut machines and find the magic mat helps extend my plates. I won’t be without my mat! On my Sizzix it replaces one of the plates.

Hello, we currently do not sell a magic mat that is compatible with the smaller machines. We can not recommend doing this as we have not tested it ourselves and are unsure of the results.
