You will have hours of fun creating your own family recipe book, journal, albums or a daily planner with the We R Makers (Heidi Swapp Edition) Cinch Bindery Tool with square holes. This tool makes it so easy to secure the binding wire and hold the book in place while the punch bar presses the binding wires shut. Cut through chipboard and several sheets of cardstock easily. Included in the package is one Cinch Bindery Tool V2 and instructions. The tool measures approximately 11 1/2" x 8" x 5".
I watched the Heidi Swapp video and bought this as a birthday treat and to make family gift books. Wow, I am so pleased with this purchase. It is well built and I expect it to last as long as needed. Heidi’s explanations of centering were very helpful. Easy to use and the results were even better than I hoped.
It makes my work look more professional and my daughter in law says it was the best gift she’s received from me.
Made my first album with the Heidi Swapp Cinch Bindery tool. It was so easy to use, just followed the instructions on the tool.
I was debating between this & the standard version & I'm so happy I decided to go with this one! Works just the same as the standard, except it has the square holes instead of the circle holes & the classic color scheme of Heidi Swapp, is totally worth it! :)
This tool is so easy to use! I love it!
Easy to use, makes my mini albums and mini scrapbooks look very custom and professional.
Used in this project: Pretty Neutral Album
The latest pink version of the Cinch lives up to everything I’ve heard and read about it. Love it!
I'm obsessed with this product. I was able to punch through 79pt chipboard!!! That's insane! I also love how small and portable it is. Lightweight and easy to put away without taking up a ton of space. Love the little elastic holder to keep the handle down when you're not using it. The hanger on the side makes it SO easy to put your notebook together. This is a 2:1 pitch cinch so make sure not to buy 3:1 pitch wires.
Things to consider:
I will say that the punch is not completely clean even if I push the lever down a few times, but I personally don't mind it. I feel like it gives that handmade touch. You can easily take a craft knife and scrape away the access if you need to. Make sure you punch some test sheets before using for your projects, as there is a protective coating / oil on the punching blades. I also recommend test punching to make sure everything is centered. Once you find the center, it helps to make little pencil marks along the ruler for efficiency, so you don't have to keep finding where the center is each time.
For the price and in comparison to other cinches, I think this purchase is totally worth it!
I absolutely love this product
easy to use
The HS Cinch has square holes which the original has the round holes. It has a clean look and "cinching" is still as easy! I love being able to choose the amount of holes to punch. The directions are easy to follow...a must have even if you have V1 or V2! I can now get rid of the other binding machine with the square holes :) YAY!!
While I am overall happy with my purchase I think it is important to know two things about this machine
1. You need to use a test sheet and lunch a few times in order to get the oil coating that’s on it off - it’s some type of black oil that comes off with the first few punches
2- this does not give a clean punch - while this is annoying seeing as things I mainly use it for my own use I can live with it but this can be a deal breaker for some
