Besides its ability to hold 48 inkpads, the top of the PortaInk also has a versatile organizer that holds up to 56 (0.5 fl.oz) ink refill bottles in twelve compartments. Two of the compartments are larger and can hold either eight half ounce bottles, or several larger bottles like spray inks. Instructions: Follow the package instructions for assembling your Best Craft Organizer PortaInk Dual Swivel Traveler Ink Pad Storage unit. For smaller ink pads such as Ranger Distress, insert accessory Small Ink Pad inserts (sold separately) in the slots you intend to use before putting the inkpads in the slots. To secure your ink pads while the PortaInk Dual Swivel Traveler is being moved, latch the single travel panel into place on each side of the PortaInk unit.
For storing markers in the PortaInk, adhere the Marker Buddy Attachment (sold separately) to the side of the PortaInk with Velcro. Slide each of your markers into the slot alongside its matching ink.
Tip: To easily find your ink refills in the top organizer, store them on the same side of the PortaInk as their matching pads and organized in the same order as the pads.

I have been waiting months to buy this but was putting it off because of the very high shipping charge, I finally received it today. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. Fits all my different size stamp pads very neatly, plenty of space. My one complaint is that while the slots on top are fine for thin bottles there are only two bigger spaces for wider bottles. Just one little thing, overall I love this product. It is a little sturdier than I had anticipated. very satisfied.

I recently purchased this item and received it. It was very easy to put together and required minimal know how and tools. The lazy susan on the bottom of the ink pad holder is smooth although a bit noisy. This item holds my Stampin Up ink pads very nicely. The strip of plastic that you lock into place for travel is a little tricky and stiff, however, if done properly you get a snug fit and your inks will not fall out (even if trilling in a circle holding the ink holder).
I bought my first Portaink Storage 5 years ago. It has been one of my best purchases. All of my Stampin Up Ink pads, matching ink refills and markers fit nice and neat in it. As well as the New Blendability alcohol markers. I love it so much that I had to buy a second one to hold more ink pad colors!!! I would highly recommend this. The twirling feature is the best, so you can easily locate a specific color.

I had been looking for a way to get my ink pads organizd and easy to see. I looked in several craft stores but never saw anything made specifically for this use. When I came upon this storage unit I was so excited. When it arrived I had to assemble it (not difficult). I now have my ink pads organized and at my fingertips. I don't plan on carrying mine anywhere but but if you do, I want to warn you that it is heavy.
My hubby put this together in minutes, and it was so nice to be able to load most of my Ink Pads into it...I say most, because I have so many more and wish there was a way to adapt this one to accommodate all of them. However, I may just have to buy another...and the price is less than other organizers of the same type. I love it...could you just make them with 4 sides, maybe?

I have acquired more ink pads and needed more storage so I didn't hesitate to purchase another. Went together very easily. I do not normally take this anywhere, but the pieces supplied can secure the unit quite well for travel, minus the ink refills.
I have used this product for several years and recently ordered another set (is there such a thing as too many ink pads?). It holds all types of pads, can be used as a spinning carousel or separate the sections and use individually. It also locks the ink pads in place if you decide to take it to a crop. I love it!

I got my ink organizer and filled it up right away. So far it has been a very good ink storage container. I wanted it so that I could contain my inks and wouldn't have to search in several different spots for my ink. It works really great to keep the colors together and easier to find. I like the holders for ink refills on top. I am happy with it. Glad I bought it will probably buy another one since it is full already.

if i want to use this exclusively to store stampin up ink pads, how many inserts would I need to purchase? And/or is the answer the same regardless of the ink pad brand? thank you

You don't need any inserts for SU ink pads. If you have smaller ones like Tim Holtz distress ink pads then you need an insert for each pad, because they are too short.

Can these ink storage holders be separated and detatched from their swivel base, and then be hung on the wall like the regular ink storage holders of the same brand/manufacturer? Also, I'm assuming the carry strap can be removed as well? Please advise. Thank you.

Yes, the Distress Oxide Ink pads will fit in the PortaInk Traveler.
Will PaperTrey Ink pads fit in this unit? They are different shape. Thanks

I do not know that brand, but the space for each ink pad is: 4.5 "(deep), .875 (high) and 3.75 (wide)
I'm wanting to order the Portaink dual swivel case but want to know if I need to order the inserts or are they included? I like the one in the picture but just want to make sure I order all that it shows. Thank You!

All inserts for ink pads and bottles (on top) are included as well as piece that holds the ink pads in place when moving or traveling with it
