This medium is very smooth and easy to spread or brush on. I tried it on tissue paper and the paper did not rip or tear, so believe me, it goes on easily. It does dry to a nice matte finish, so I was able to make some shinier ephemera look more cohesive with the surrounding pieces. I just opened the jar 4 days ago and have used 1/3 of it -- I wish I had ordered 2 jars!

Does the medium have any bearing on the curling! I�m making #8 tags and using it to cover with paper. I�m looking for whatever will keep the tag from curling! Thank you!

Hello, adding a wet substance like gel medium to the dry paper/cardstock will usually cause some curling of the paper. This is usually because the fibers in the paper are expanding and contracting. Also, the thickness of the layer of medium applied can cause the paper the curl more or less. A few tricks we are aware of is applying a thin layer of gesso or paint to the back of the paper, using a heavier cardstock, taping the paper down, one dry placing it under a heavy object or running it through a die-cutting machine with no die.
