This Grunge Board is just too cool. I absolutely love it! The texure is awesome. It feels like suede or leather or something. It's very different. It looks like it would be like chipboard (thats what I thought it would be like) but it's not, not at all. You can bend it, it's so neat! There are sooo many different ways you could use this and for so sooo many different things! I just got it about a week or so ago and I just had to try it out on a LO. I used the Tim Holtz Crackle Paint and it turned out beautifully. But, I can't wait to use the other ones by distressing it, covering them with paper or fabric, inking it.. the possibilities are endless! Wonderful product!!
I just bought this product and I LOVE IT!!! I spent a good portion of a crop I was at a couple of days ago touting the many wonderful aspects of Grungeboard to anyone who would listen!
I have no idea what it's made out of (That part's kinda scary!), but this stuff ROCKS! You can bend it (the hinges can be used as real hinges!), stamp it, ink it, paint it, sand it, distress it, etc., and it will still hold it's shape and texture. About the only thing you can't do with it is rip it, and that's great, since I always end up mangling chipboard flourishes when I punch them out.
BUY THIS STUFF! You won't regret it! =)
I have only used a few pieces out of the set so far, but I cannot get enough! You can do anything to it! Paint it, ink it, stamp it, sand it, the list goes on. SO versatile and easy to use! The hinges even work great for bookmaking! Absolutely fabulous!
This is a new and unique product--like flexible, patterned chipboard. I have painted and sanded and inked on it so far and the results are spectacular because the pattern appears with light sanding.
This is the first time I used grudge board and I love how Tattered Angels and stickles stick on the grudge board and look great. I love these more than chipboard!
These are so much fun to work with! There are such cool shapes that you really can use them on any kind of lo. It's similar to chipboard but it's not. It's very thin and flexible and definately versatile. They look great inked, painted, stamped, embellished you name it it works! You get a lot of shapes in a huge variety and the swirls add a really cool texture that really shows up and makes it easy to just run an ink pad over the top and only cover the swirls in that color! They're fabulous!
