I'm a chipboard junkie. I use it on just about every layout and project I make. I love the versatility of it, but always hated how careful I had to be not to bend or break it, especially when dealing with letters and other elements with easily breakable parts.
Then along came Grungeboard. When I purchased my order of Grungeboard, I bought it mainly for the texture. But that's only half the awesomeness of Grungeboard. It's PLIABLE! You can bend this stuff back and forth like a circus acrobat and it springs back, time after time.
The creative possibilities are endless with Grungeboard. Paint it, sand it, ink it, paper it, glue it, distress it - it can take it! And the wonderful textures offer a whole new avenue of distressing possibilities. I've had as much fun experimenting with Grungeboard as I have actually making page elements!

Okay, so yes, I have three of the patterns for the Grunge Board Elements. That's how much I love these pieces! In fact, I'm also seeing that, if you squint your eyes and tilt your head, you can actually find more pieces to use than they count!
An example in this collection: In one of the flourish pages; after you pop out the large flourish, turn the sheet until you see a really fancy, short-trunked, full leafy tree. Actually, it's negative space that some might throw away but I'm so glad I saw it hiding there. I am looking forward to cutting that away and using it on a nature LO! I can see it now; brown trunk; layers of shades of green or fall foliage.
Thank you, Mr. Holtz for creating a world of opportunities!

I just tried this product last night and fell in love! I think it is better than plain chipboard for two reasons. First, you can bend it, twist it and never have to worry about it breaking! This would be especially important for alphabets. Second, the embossed texture is just amazing! I got the dots and love how it looked painted with acrylic paint. I cannot wait to try ink or chalk on the grunge board. I would say this is a must have for all chipboard addicts like myself. You may never go back!

love grunge? you'll love grunge board. The added bonus is it is cut in all of Tim's best dies. I can't afford all his dies so this is the next best thing - i love them!
This stuff is great! I put on literally 15 coats of paint on a piece and it didn't warp or anything, still looked like the first coat!

I probably shouldn't be reviewing this but.... that's the reason I gave it only 4 stars when it probably deserves 5. I have only had a chance to use the grungeboard in substitute of chipboard with my Cricut. It WILL work with a Cricut but it takes at least 5-6 cuts with a deep cut blade. Amazingly, as Tim does in his videos, as I was trying to get an intricut cut out of the grungeboard, it REALLY does bend and not tear! This was a delight to me, as I grew impatient with the Cricut! I then sanded the edges and they do sand, just like Tim video. I look forward to getting Tim's scissors and working more with the grungeboard and not depending on the Cricut but making up my own cuts, working with them, and achieving the distressed look.
