  I got these with a kit and thought what R these for.
  
  Quickly figured out that you can put stuff on the head of these pins allowing you to secure tickets, patches, scrunched up ribbon, just about anything to accent your work.

  Like the look of the memo pins but...

  they are a pain to use. I just started using this product to add a Tim Holtz Adage Ticket to a layout, and I had the hardest time sliding the ticket into the memo pin. I had to use a butter knife to hold it open just enough to get the ticket in. But even that took a few tries to get it to work. Luckily, I didn't stab myself with the pointy end of the pin.
