I was so anxious to get this trimmer, but then was so disappointed when using it for my Christmas cards. I especially wanted the scoring feature. I carefully scored the fold lines for my cards so they would be folded in half. Yes, I do know how to read a ruler, but the fold line was off by at least 1/8", which doesn't sound like much until the two edges don't meet after folding.
Had this happened on one or two cards, I would blame it on user error, but not forty cards! And each card had two folds, so there is definitely a problem since neither fold came out right.
Secondly, it makes a very rough edge when it cuts. I have other trimmers that leave a smooth edge. I was hoping this one would be the same. It isn't.
If I could return this trimmer, I definitely would!
I absolutely love this trimmer. It is sturdy, cuts smoothly and the markings are easy to read. The track the blade is in seems to resist any wiggle and therefore, the cuts are straight. Definitely recommend.
Great trimmer, easy to read, cuts cleanly. It’s the best trimmer I’ve used!
I have other paper trimmer's but I really like this one best. I am able to cut and score at the same time. the measurements are spot on, the extension arm is great for 12x12 paper. It came fairly quickly and it's my new go to paper cutter.
Still good like new. Have been using this trimmer for the last five years. Haven't yet had to replace the blades
I've developed a vision problem. At first I managed but as it's gotten worse over a 3 year period I found I was struggling to score paper. I struggled with 3 different name brand score boards. I turned to special rulers and stylus ball scoring tools. I have two professional paper cutters and trimmers. A 24" guillotine school/business & a 15" trimmer. The trimmer does have score blades but it's a real chore to swap the cutting blade out and vice versa. Hardly ideal for doing small projects in the card making field. Also not the best for smaller narrow folding projects either. This is my second. Another was on sale and liked it so much saw this on delightful sale and another $3 off towards shipping costs. YEAH. Now I have one to travel with too. Only negative is all the spare blade options were out of stock. Plan to pick up two sets of the score and cut blade sets then in future orders as soon as. Having the option to use score blades & cutting blades in same tool is such a help. I didn't check but I think my other version is so similar they may just use same blades. Would be nice but did not check yet. I like to take paper crafting projects along camping in my super mini 21' Class B+ RV. Very little storage so must keep it real. I'd love to find this item in a shorter perhaps 8-9" length so far only these longer ones. But it's still fantastic for me.
Need to find replacement blades though. I had them saved then said discontinued ?
Cuts cleanly with no fuzzy edges! I like the measurements and feel it is accurate!
