The Tuxedo Black Memento Dye Ink Pad by Tsukineko is fast-drying, fade-resistant, and permanent when dry. It delivers fine impressions and very even coverage. The ink is water-based, acid-free, and non-toxic. The raised inked area is 3" x 1.75" which allows you to ink any size stamp. This ink will not smear when used with Copic alcohol markers making this an inkpad of choice for many artists.
I have only a few distress ink pads but wanted to try other kinds of ink pads. I bought this Fade Resistant Dye Ink Pad - Tuxedo Black for a project and love the results I get in my journal pages. I bought other colors too. They add a vibrant color effect which looks great. Will certainly buy more colors
I love using this ink for stamping. It drys very fast and you can touch it as soon as you stamp and won't smear. It is excellent if you use the copic markers because it doesn't bleed
I bought this because I read that StazOn would mess up Copics. Normally, I stamped my images with StazOn and loved it. However, after trying Memento (I know it's the same company), I'll be buying Memento from now on since I only need to stamp cardstock. The pad is very "juicy," which is a word that I heard others use to describe it, but I never knew why they would use that term until I tried it myself. My images stamp clearly, and the black is genuinely black and not one of those faded versions. It looks wonderful, and I haven't had any issues with it!
I am so happy with brand of dye ink pad...I saw a demo with the person using this type of ink and thought I should try it and I love it. I will probably purchase other colors in the near future, thank you!
I purchased this item for using with alcohol pens. Recently the two major craft stores in my area stopped carrying this line of ink, so I was delighted to purchase it here, and fully intend to continue shopping with Scrapbook.com.
I love this ink pad. It's a nice clean clear black and is perfect for use with the fashionable Copic markers and when you don't want to emboss
This ink is fantastic to use with Copic markers. I've tried numerous brands of permanent ink, and this is the only one that doesn't break down and smear when a Copic marker is used over it. When first opened, the pad is super juicy so you need to be very light handed when applying to stamps. I use 'Ranger Archival Ink Cleaner' to clean up my stamps after using this product, and it works well - there isn't any staining left on the stamp. So far, I'm very happy with Memento ink for use with Copic markers.
I bought this stamp pad because I heard a crafter on youtube say it was good when working with alcohol brush markers! I gotta say... it's work perfectly so far with no smearing! Great product, stamps cleanly!

I was having a horrible time with my black ink pads running when I was using alcohol markers and someone suggested this! So much better!

Will this ink work with watercolor brushes or watercolor pencils?

This ink is not recommended for watercolors as it can bleed. It is wonderful with Copic/Alcohol markers, however.
