This Mouse Pad features a plastic top with a grid and is designed for use with the MISTI (Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented), sold separately. The plastic top is coated to allow you to easily wipe off ink, while permanent inks will wipe off with the proper cleaner. This mouse pad may not be compatible with the original MISTI, as it requires trimming. The package includes one mouse pad by My Sweet Petunia that measures approximately 8.5" x 6.5".
I love this pad for my misti. It’s grids are useful and it wipes clean very easily. Better than the paper sheets which I didn’t use much because I didn’t want to mark them up and waste them. Nice durable item with good cushioning.

I have to admit, I was reluctant to purchase this mousepad. I saw it recommended on YouTube, and thought it was just a sales ploy. But, I thought, heck why not give it a go? Oh my goodness, I'm so pleased that I did. My stamping is clear and crisp with just one pass of the plate. I am now looking to see if they do one for my Mini MISTI

This is my go to matt for my Misty. It easily cleans off the Gina K tape runner I use to help hold my cards in place. It also allows the magnets to hold. It also allows the ink to be wiped clean with just water. I use alcohol diluted with water 50/50 to clean sticky residue. The pad shows no signs of wear after 6 months of day to day use. The pad provides a clear stamp as it brings the stamps up a bit.
No cons that I could see.
My sweet petunia misti carry great products in their line. Be careful not to place the magnets too close to each other as they will attract each other and break. Also, read the product description throughly before ordering, as I actually wanted the paper refill pad, not the mousepad. It was my error, so my five star rating stands.

I was out of grid paper and ordered a pad. I wondering how many of the grid sheets you should use as your base - just one or several

how many sheets to use has much to do with your type of stamps and their cushioning base. If rubber stamps are used they often have a cushion base or are thicker than photopolymer stamps. The thicker the cushion and or base the fewer sheets of grid paper needed. Photopolymer stamps will stamp best with a thicker undersurface. I very much like the My Petunia gridded and cushioned mat! I tend to use it most of the time with all my stamps. It cleans up with a wipe of water, hand sanitizer or stamp cleaner and saves a twig or two of trees to boot!

The one that already comes with it: you use it when stamping with clear stamps. You remove it to stamp with cling stamps, which are thicker.
