This is a great set to have AND if you get the small set too you'll be able to to put them together and have the whole set from small to large. Love the stitched look of these rectangles.
If you want a great look for your card making, the large and small stitched is what you want. These two layered together makes a great impact on cards that are 5X7.
I used this set and the set of smaller stitched rectangles to make my Christmas cards this year. I'm actually a sewer, and like to sew on my cards, but these dyes give much the same look in a fraction of the time and are super easy to use. They really do give a nice touch to mats for other card embellishements such as stamped images. My only complaint is that they are hooked together with little metal pieces that you have to cut to separate them, and no matter how close you try to cut, there is a little sharp nob left every place you cut. I tried filing them off with a metal file, which did not work. My husband is going to let me use his dremmel tool to see if I can get them off with that, but then I'm a little afraid of damaging them with that -- they were quite pricey I thought for how simple they are. However, they work like a charm and the effect really is nice. They will get used a LOT in my card making from now on.
I love the "stitched" feature. Have already used it over and over for a holiday project - this includes the smallest die.
They go great together. Wonderful for shaker cards. No more putting stitch marks on by hand. Very clean, crisp cut and stitch marks. Would highly suggest getting both sets.
Great set for all paper crafting. That stitched detail gives just a little something extra. Great set!
I only wish I would have seen only stitch on one side.

I would buy the large set but if your budget could stretch to large and small I would go for them both.
How 'sturdy' are these dies? Do they bend easily?

I do not have a die cutting machine, but I'm looking for a stamp or stencil like these. Can I use the die in this way?

I don't think you'd get a very good result or accuracy using it as a stamp or stencil. But, you might be able to. You would just have to try.

The dies probably would NOT function as a stamp to give clear precise transfer. You could use as a stencil but perhaps you would benefit more from a frame type stencil or cut your own stencil from blank stencil sheet which allows you to cut your own design. IF you are really interest save up to purchase a Big Shot which would open a whole new exciting world for you for card making and craft work.

I'm new to dies. What is the difference between "Large Stitched 4 Bar Rectangles" and "Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables"? I know one says the set includes 3 dies and one 4 dies, but they look the same.

From what i can tell, the large stitched 4bar rectangles are all smaller than the large stitched rectangle stackables, to make a set of all together different sized cards.
