The Distress Ink Minis Kit #7 by Tim Holtz for Ranger Ink is perfect for vintage, stained and aged altered layouts, books, cards and papercrafting projects. The four shades included are Old Paper, Weathered Wood, Worn Lipstick and Wild Honey and are water-based dye inks that are fade-resistant, acid-free and non-toxic. Re-inkers with eye dropper applicators are sold separately. Each pad is 1" x 1" with highly-raised felt for easier application to your paper.
Love Tim's inks and I've been using them since he first brought out the browns for distressing. I find these mini size ones sometimes have loose fitting lids which means they arrive quite dry. Not the whole set, but occasionally one in the bunch.
I'm fairly new to Tim Holtz mini inks and storage, and I love them! The cubes are an exceptional quality ink, very "juicy", and I love how the cubes have made it more affordable to own. The storage tin is a must in my opinion. Not only do I have the cubes at a glance, all together by colors, but the sponge is stored at the bottom of the cube as well. Thank you Tim for great crafting products!
And even WORSE customer service. I made a significant investment by purchasing all 64 mini ink cubes. The have always been stored in an airtight container, though given the fact that they NEVER worked from the first try, I had no where else to store them.
I contacted BOTH Tim Holtz and Ranger Customer Service, with photos of all ink pads "stamped" (though that is truly a misnomer as NONE of the inks covered that small ONE inch by ONE inch area of smooth Neenah 110# cardstock ). It was suggested that I try the Distress Ink Refresher. .....I did....another waste of $10.00! Same, if not worse results!
Customer service was extremely rude, unprofessional and disrespectful stating that I was using the products incorrectly! SERIOUSLY? Press and twist.......NOTHING BUT A BLOTCHY INCOMPLETE AREA. .......forget trying to blend something that isn't there. ....namely INK!
Blaming the customer as opposed to correcting what was truly a defective product batch is just WRONG, on so very many levels!
Save yourself the aggravation of dealing with these products and the LARGE amount of money you will be wasting!
Exactement ce qu'il faut pour le encrer nos tags et autres découpages pour le scrapbooking, ou bien faire des fonds colorés.
Ink pads arrived, package had been opened and taped shut and ink pads
had been used. Why send out a product that had obviously been used?
Not a happy camper here.
Update. The company came through with high marks. They replaced the
used ink pads.
As far as a review, since I am brand new to this segment of crafting and having nothing to compare it with I'm going with middle of the road rating. Until the jury gets back in, this is the best I can do.
