I ordered these after watching some card=making tutorials using these scissors. They are indeed very sharp. Unfortunately for my arthritic hands, the blades are so tight it is almost impossible for me to open and close the handles. Some scissors have an adjustable screw in the middle; these do not, so they are useless to me.
I'm sure they're fine for normal folks with more hand strength. I do not recommend them if you have tender or weak hands.
I previously purchased Tim Holtz mini scissors and loved them for fussy cutting. These 7 inch scissors are my new "best friends"! I reach for them every time! They sharpen themselves each time you cut with them because of the serrated edge. I plan to purchase his even larger 9 inch shears for big projects. They even wipe clean from sticky adhesives!
I've purchased more scissors than I care to admit, but I'm happy to share that I've found the cream of the crop with these Tim Holtz all-purpose babies.
Four things I LOVE about them:
1) The blades don't get gummed up when cutting adhesives
2) The blades have fine-tipped points for precision cutting
3) The blades were able to cut through the ends of brad prongs (I'd be careful using them with thicker metal and I'm not going to try just for this review...sorry:)
4) The colored handles are visible on the most cluttered of surfaces.
It only took me a few tries to get adjusted to the large handles (that's what makes them great for right or left-handers).
Thanks Tim, these are GREAT scissors!

I own two pairs of these, one in my tote and one in my at-home tools. They're SO good, I want to make sure I have a backup pair!! The handle is comfortable. The non-stick coating on the blades is quite good. The serrated edge is sharp and has cut through everything I've asked of it. My first pair is over a year old and shows no wear and no warping. The only reason I own any other pair of scissors is that the serrated edge is no good for detail cutting on paper.
These scissors are so good that I had to order a pair for my husband!! He needed non-stick scissors and LOVES these.
Is it wrong to say that I am in love with a pair of scissors? Well, wrong or not, I just can't help myself. These are the very best scissors I've ever used for paper crafting. The serrated edge makes all the difference. The cushion grips really do keep your hand from tiring so easily. I've had covers for my scissors before but this one actually "snaps" into place and doesn't slide off. I'm thrilled to own these and honestly don't know if I will ever use anything else for my detail work now that I've experienced these fantastic scissors. Thank you Tim Holtz!

I didn't think I even needed a new pair of scissors as I've collected stationery for about 20 years and have millions, but I watched a video on scrapbook.com and decided to get them to see what the fuss was about and I am not disappointed. These cut through everything you can think of, I use them them for everything (probably a no-no but whatever :P). They cut through brads nicely too when the ends are too long and stick out (when near the edge of tiny embellishments) which I love. So glad I got these. They're a dream to use.
I was expecting a slightly smaller size w/out the serrated edges which leave a tiny, but noticeable edge on the cut out. Still and all, comfortable and good quality. Great price
I am able to use these without trouble with my arthritic hands. I would recommend for anyone.
My friend recommended me this scissor to use with foam tape and other adhesive tapes and I agree. It's really non-sticky.
Totally love these scissors. I used the Tonic Studios Non-Stick Micro Serrated Scissors to trim rubber stamps and they were great. Highly recommend.
