Can each butterfly be cut and used separately?   By: User (12-Mar-21) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Yes! Of course there'll be some fussy cutting involved, but they do cut out nicely (the material allows you to almost 'glide' through the cutting - very quick and easy)!
I purchased this lace specifically to cut out the butterflies for use on all kinds of projects. Each butterfly is comprised of 2 butterflies held together with a pearl embellishment. The larger butterfly is approx. 2-3/4"W x 1-3/4"H. The smaller butterfly is roughly 2"W x 1-1/8"H (and, in case wondering, the pearl is approx. 1/4" diameter). I started to try to cut the 2 butterflies apart (thinking the pearl embellisment was holding it all together with thread), however, the pearl is attached from front to back with a small metal clip. You can carefully pull this 'clip' apart from the pearl and get 2 nice (separate) butterflies. You might even be able to reuse the pearl embellishment (reusing the clip will be extremely challenging...but gluing the pearl to a project should certainly work).
Can't wait to experiment with coloring the butterflies with different types of mediums, too. Possibilities are endless! Enjoy and have fun! By: mtkreddick (18-Mar-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
