    Weak ink

I typically use two different brands of ink pads but wanted to try Simon Hurley since I follow him on YouTube. I purchased four colors and am quite disappointed. There isn't as much ink as with the other brands I use. I tried the direct ink to paper technique and could tell how little ink is actually on the pad. I would not buy this brand again.

Best blending ink I have tried!

For the past couple of months I have been on the hunt for the best non-oxide ink for blending. I have now tested 7 different ink brands, with different papers and different tools. Simon Hurley's Ranger inks have come out on top for me. A couple of others are close, but these are the best for me. I only bought 3 colours to test and will now be gradually building up my colours and the refills. The only thing I don't care for (and this is being REALLY picky) is the ink names - they aren't always intuitive...I'm a bit old school when it comes to that. LOL As you can see, it's not a big enough deal to knock a star off. :) I definitely recommend these inks for blending.

    Lids do not fit

I am very disappointed in the quality of these inks. I store all my inks very carefully and in a climate controlled room. This ink pad is so warped (both base and lid) that I have to use a rubber band to keep it closed, but even so there is still a gap, which is going to dry my ink out faster. It was like this when I got it, and has only gotten worse. I bought 6 colors in totally because I heard these were pretty good inks. Now I am worried that the others are going to start doing the same. None of them close tightly like my other inks. Not sure what to do about it now. It's too late for a return :( I love scrapbook.com, and I buy from you a lot ... not a happy camper right now.
