    Great for storing gel presses

These tins are nicer than the packaging I was storing my gel presses in, and they’re easier to open. I can store my gel presses vertically and they look great on the shelf.

    Storage tin

I like that it is lightweight and sturdy, I have one that holds my 9x11 gel plate and another to hold all the smaller plates.

Wonderful Storage for your Gel Plates

I love Ranger's Gel Plate tins. They protect your gel plates. I know I don't want dust to get on mine and I certainly don't want anything to accidentally poke a hole in them.
They are also perfect if you are traveling or taking classes.
I have all of my gel plates in these tins and they stack nicely on the shelve.

    perfect storage or gel plates

I love this gel plate storage tin. I can finally have storage for my gel plates that will not slice my fingers if I catch them on the ends. The plastic original boxes always seemed to give small cuts (like paper cuts) when I opened them. No more !!!!

    Great safe storage

Funny that Ranger is now selling odd shaped gel plates ... that just so happen to fit perfectly into this odd sized container...I have not used their gel plates but have used this container (just bought 5 more - my plates are multiplying!) for several years for my 8x10. It is useful for the Gelli shapes pieces as well although as I said the "odd size" doesn't exactly hold all 4 of the Gelli shape pieces....I digress, this is a great storage container for any of your gel plates. Keeps them safe and comfy.

    Great idea

Recently I realized I was storing my Gel plates incorrectly. I saw on Instagram someone using these to store all their gel plates not only the large ones, and decided to give it a try. They hold the plates in place and now I need a third one! The good thing is that Scrapbook.com sells these quite reasonably.

Great For Holding Domed Ink Tool Pads

I use this tin to hold the domed foam pads from the inking tools. I attach them with adhesive Velcro dots and label each color under the pad with Dynamo Label Maker. I have 1 tin for each type of ink…distress oxides, pigment , etc.

    LOVE!

I have two sets of Gelli plates, so I needed two cases. Sturdy. Keeps products safe.

Questions & Answers
  • Can you please give me the exact measurements of this tin. This site says the depth is .5" and on the Ranger site the exact tin (with the same sku # JEA60031) says it's 1.5" in depth. I want to order one for my Gel Plate and one to store my Ranger Dome Foam Pads in (as seen on a YouTube Video). I just want to be sure that the tin is deep enough to attach the domed foam pads and close the lid. Do you have other sizes of the storage tins? I gave a 12 x12 gel plate and would like to put that in a tin.   By: User (13-Nov-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Ranger only has this one tin size because it fits both sizes of Gel Plates that we carry, the single piece 9" x 11" and 3 pack assortment 3.5" X 6.75", 5.5" X 11" & 3". Circle. • Can you put more than one gel plate in one tin (the big one) or do you need a tin which holds the small size gel plates together? In other words can they be stacked, or do they need to be stored in one layer?   By: plemery (04-Feb-21) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Hello! Do you take them off the original plastic shell and put them on the tin shell, or do you leave them inside the original plastic shell and store this as well inside the tin shell? How do you actually store the ranger gel plates in the tin storage?   By: User (02-Jun-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hello you can store the gel plates directly in the tin without the plastic clamshell packaging it comes in. They will stick inside the tin and you can then open the tin and peel the gel plates up and out when you need them. By: Ranger Ink (03-Jun-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
