Questions & Answers
  • I still don't understand how this is applied. Does the glaze get applied to the stamp you are using? What is the consistency of the glaze? It sounds like sort of a gel or wet paste. I don't understand the process or what tools are used.   By: paloma54 (02-Feb-21) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • The Distress Embossing Glaze is a translucent embossing powder that is applied to the surface you are using ie.. paper or resin pieces. You need embossing ink and a heat tool to use the product. Please google You Tube to see demonstrations to better understand the product when Tim demos with it. • The Ranger Embossing Dabber is an embossing ink used for embossing just as you would use an embossing pad. By: Ranger Ink (30-Nov-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Ranger Ink should add the links to Tim’s blog or YouTube demonstration instead of saying search for it! By: TristanzNina (03-Jul-23) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • The glazes are used in exactly the same way as a traditional embossing powder with an embossing medium and heat tool but the effect is different. The end effect is translucent so you can colorize black and white images with the glazes using the Distress Embossing pen, and you can stamp an image for example a fish in a pond scene and then add Broken China in the pond since the color is not opaque you will see the stamped fish image in the pond underneath the glaze. It is also great for mixed media as you can layer with the glazes and use with the Distress Texture Pastes for cool effects. The glaze also can be used on Ideology to colorize resin and charm pieces. For more Distress Glaze inspiration please check Tim's blog. By: Ranger Ink (12-Nov-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • It's used the same way you use embossing powder. Apply embossing ink cover in power, tip off excess powder and funnel it back into the jar and close the lid. Now heat with your embossing tool until you see all the powder melt. Any regular stamped image you had on the paper will been seen through the embossing.
