What is the difference between dye, pigment and hybrid ink?
Dye inks are water-based and literally dye your paper. The ink is soaked up by the paper or cardstock so they tend to dry fast. Pigment inks are made of tiny particles that will sit on top of your paper and will take a longer time to dry. They tend to be brighter, with a denser saturation of color and work well with dark colors of cardstock. They are also great for heat embossing since they stay wet longer. Hybrid inks are the best of the two ink types (dye and pigment) as they have properties of both inks. They also tend to be more translucent in their appearance. Hybrid inks are suitable for all skill levels of crafters due to their compatibility with multiple mediums and surfaces.

This is my first time using these ink pads and my one and only complaint so far is, I broke my thumb nail down past the quick trying to take the covers off of the ink pads!! OUCH!! That hurt! Maybe some are harder to open than others, but a little note as to opening them might help other purchasers.

Love me new ink pads. My old ones were getting worn.

I'm just starting to use Inks for flowers. I think I picked the right brand , Scrapbook.co. for my purposes. It dries fast and didn't bleed. I purchased several colors besides this one. The princess group, St. Patrick group, the purple group, yellow group, Orange spice and Havana Red. So far I'm very pleased.

I posted a lot of questions about inks in the Q and A’s a while ago. After getting replies, I ordered an assortment of dyes, pigments and hybrids. Every dye, pigment, and hybrid I ordered is fantastic. This is one of them.
I created a chart on medium lavender using the same two stamps and on the same paper. I did not want to use white paper because I wanted to see it on a different color that was darker than a light color paper. The paper I used was the medium shade of the three lavenders I have. I was checking for clarity on the medium shade color, bleeding and drying time. All the inks I tested stamped beautifully. All but two (they are the exact same except for the color) were dry ASAP. They were all but two dry at least by the time my stamps were cleaned and ready to do the next stamp pad test.
This Scrapbook Premium Hybrid ink is fast drying. The color is beautiful on the medium shade cardstock. This color hybrid shows up clearly and beautifully. It does not have a chalky feel like the pigment I used the very dirst time I stamped anything. It did stain the stamp, but It did not affect the next color I used. The staining of the stamp, for me, is not a problem. It washed easy enough and did not stain the fingers when I washed it, so all is good.
The bird is clearer and the thin text lines are crisper than the Scrapbook Premium Dye Ink, but it is extremely close. It had the same fast drying time as the Scrapbook Premium Dye ink.
I used this color of the 3 that I ordered for the first time last night. Got an excellent first print from a worded rubber stamp! I'm very happy with the 6 colors that I've ordered so far! Four observations: 1) The pad is set on it's base without a well. It will remain to be seen if this will have any effect on how fast the pad dries out or comes loose from the base. That said, this design is very easy to apply pad to paper as the base IS set up and has indentations making it easier to hold and control. 2) The color is wonderfully creamy and dries pretty much the color that goes on. I've had my Ranger inks now for from 7 to10 years and they are just now starting to dry out and I'm not getting the coverage from them as I have these inks. But! 3) Rather than buy a re-inkier for the archival inks, I think I'll replace them with these. Archival inks dry fast and have good color, but they stain my stamps and fingers. These inks do too, but my equipment cleans up better and so do my fingers. 4) The pricing is very good with these inks compared to others as well!

A lovely DEEP RED. On some papers that are colored may lean towards a bit rusted but overall it's a pure solid RED. Bought the set also have the green called Pine in same pad and refills. Go well together.
The ink is beautiful, I made a card as soon as I received and it really took my card to the next level.
