This three piece Press Plate and thin metal die set, Season's Greetings Evergreens, is part of the More BetterPress Christmas Collection from Spellbinders. The press plates include a line of evergreen trees and the sentiment Season's greetings, the die cuts out the sentiment. The press plate is compatible with the BetterPress Letterpress System and the thin metal die is compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). This set can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, tags, journals, and other paper crafting projects. The Evergreen trees press plate measures 5.25" x 2.45" and the sentiment measures 2" x 1.25", the thin metal die sentiment outline measures 2.10" x 1.35".
this is my 2nd press plate purchase I love how crisp the stamp is. for this i stamped in black then used colored pencil to bring it to life, for coloring spellbinders recommends watercolor or colored pencils water color pencils can be used as well. I have only stamped on the recommended cotton panels cardstock for now. if you have not tried this yet I think its a great addition to your die cutting machine

This may sound like a silly question, but I�ve never seen this system What is a press plate is it like a stamp or an embossing folder? Can it be used on a Big Shot machine? Thanks.

Hello, press plates are used with the New Spellbinders BetterPress system link which is very similar to a letterpress. You apply ink to the press plates and use the BetterPress system with a compatible die-cutting machine to ink and deboss the design onto your cardstock. PressPlates are different than die-cuts and do not cut the paper.

Hello, this set comes with 2 press plates, the treescape, and the sentiment, and 1 die cut that cuts out around Season's Greetings. The card examples in the secondary images show the treescape and the words placed someplace in the open spacing.
