This Dazzling Dots embossing folder is part of the Celebrate The Season Collection from Spellbinders. This embossing folder embosses a background of dotted diamonds that will fit any card size from A2 to A7 formats, including slimline cards. This embossing folder is compatible with leading die cutting and embossing machines (sold separately). This embossing folder can be used for card backgrounds, scrapbook pages, tags, journals, planners, and other paper crafting and mixed media projects. Try adding ink on one side of the folder before running through your machine to add extra highlights to this design. This embossing folder measures 8.5" x 5.5".
I am so grateful for the size of this folder. I work with 5 x 7 cards, and it is so frustrating that most folders are only scaled for A2. Anyone can use this size, but the smaller ones often won't work for me when I want a full background. Yay Spellbinders for providing something that is so versatile!
I needed more subtle background designs for my cards. I saw this one and thought I would give it a try. There are many out there that pierce the card with little holes. This one just produces little rays dots which is kind of nice. You could embossed on a dark card stock, and then lightly swipe a gold or white pigment ink over top and have a different work. I like that it gives the card a little something as well without being a focal point.
I am so pleased this folder is 5 x 7. I hope their will be more this size
I'm so glad I purchased this folder. I loved how well it worked. I have used it for several cards. As I'm writing this review I noticed the item is in a Christmas collection, however, I think it can be used for all occasions.
