Oh wow, stellar job with the G-45! All of their colors and patterns intimidate me, but you used them perfectly here. Beautifully layered and embellished. What luck that you were able to save your family's memories. You certainly did this photo justice.
Laura, you don't know how lucky you were to get those pics!!!!!!!!! You did a good job with this one!! I LOVE it. I love G45. They go with anything. But you did a High-Five with this one. Hugs.
What an awesome layout. So much detail. I am glad you were able to save your momentos. So many people these days don't want to keep things from their past. You did a fantastic job with the photos.
every time I see this LO I click it open and look at it again. I just adore it! I am terrified of G45 papers, but I want to make an exact replica of this soooooo bad!
I am so happy for you that you were able to salvage that box!! My mom and her four siblings just finished clearing out my grandmother's sheds. My mom knew I wanted some photos, she tried but, with so many people going in and out, and it being so hectic, she knows that there are some irreplaceable items were sent to the dump. So sad!
With that said, I love this!! You could not have chosen a better paper line!! Beautiful!!!
Delightful. Wonderful old photo and fabulous lo to treasure it. Sweet elements like the blackboard with the teacher's message and lovely little booklet for the other photos.
OMW OMW it's gorgeous Laura! First let me say what a wonderful rescue you made of the box of pprs and photos!! Wowzer that is a great save.
I love everything! Your fussy cuts and the rosette's (with the teeny buttons on top! Love that touch:) The dimensions are brilliant; and the photo's are a treasure~ TFS
How wonderful that you were able to save some beautiful photos and memorabilia. This page is gorgeous. I love the vintage artwork that are so reminiscent of the photos in reading books as I was growing up. I love your folded medallions. Superb heritage layout!
This layout is amazing!! Love the burlap peeking out and the accordian frame for extra photos. That is an amazing story, what a treasure to get that box!!!
What a happy coincident you were there when those treasures were about to be thrown out...you were meant to have (and scrap!) them. I love these pps and am inspired to use them for a pic of my dad in grade school. Beautiful layout and love the burlap ruffle and all the lovely techniques...AND that photo..socute.
This is stupendous Laura :) love all the papers, the way you arranged them, love the burlap, rosettes She was adorable :) love the chalkboard :) you are right how wonderful it was for you to be able to save her stuff :) :)
For August Graphic 45 Challenge. This is My Grandmother Dessie Mae Lewis, my fathers mother in 1929. I loved this photo when I first saw it! I was lucky that when she passed family members were basically carrying everything to a dumpster, so I got there just in time to grab a box a papers/ photos. Little did I know that her whole life, as well as my fathers was in that box! I feel blessed to have saved it and my family history! I took a few things I learned in tag class and applied to LO such as the accordian frame and paper rosettes. One thing I love about this line is all the fussy cutting and layers you can do with pps! Working on a DIY project w/ Graphic 45 as we speek, hopefully finishing soon! TFL!
