  • Will the cutting plate warp?
Is this machine adjustable as the previous Evolution was?   By: Ljjohannes (07-Feb-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • The Revolution machine doesn't have the ability to make adjustments as the Evolution machine did. Also, plates for any machine including this one, depending on usage, may warp and are meant to be replaced over time. By: Scrapbook.com (10-Feb-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • Can anyone speak to how this machine compares to the Cuttlebug? Mine recently broke and I'd like something of comparable size and power. Thanks.   By: glensidescrapper2 (23-Oct-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I don't know about the Cuttlebug, but the machine is very nice. I have had it for several months, now, and have had no problem with it handling all dies I have from various manufacturers. • See above answer. I purchased "slim" Sleigh die from Ana Griffin and it does not fit. This cutting surface is only 6 inches wide...unless you get larger machine.
      Loss for me.

  • What is the platform/plate dimension? And do you sell extra cutting plates?   By: mtwest3 (02-Oct-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • The platform is approximately 6 1/8" x 9 1/8". This comes with one Platform, one Magnetic Mat, one Cutting Plate and one Embossing Plate. At this time there are not replacement cutting plates available. By: Scrapbook.com (02-Oct-19) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • I purchased an Ana Griffin Sled easel die for Christmas cards based on that 6 1/8 inch. It does not fit and I have no way to cut this $30 die. The cutting plate measures exactly 6 inches wide. Although this is a small oversight, it has caused me much frustration as I can no longer return the die. Also, how can we get an extra cutting plate? I can't find anywhere where we can purchase replacement parts for this machine. Please help. Thanks. By: tvj0610 (07-Oct-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I just bought a Revolution 6 inch manual die cutting machine. I messed up my first attempts to use and have marred the Die Plate and the Magnetic Plate. They are still usable, but in time I'm sure I'll need to replace them. I don't find them in your inventory to purchase. Can you please point me to a source. Thank you in advance.   By: carolfann18 (02-Oct-23) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hello,

We do not currently sell just the plates for this machine. However, our magic mat can be used to replace the plates as well.

I hope this information helps! By: Scrapbook.com (02-Oct-23) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • I have the older Evolution model. It doesn’t have names on the plates. Instead, the plates say “A,” “B,” etc. one plate does say platform. There are several plates, as the machine also does letterpress. In my excitement to open the box, I somehow lost the instructions.🙁. I’ve watched several YouTube videos about this machine, however, none show which plate is which, making it almost impossible for me to formulate the correct sandwich. I’ve had luck with die cutting, but I’m not sure I put the plates in the correct order. I haven’t used any embossing folders or used the letterpress materials, yet. Also, I bought the “Magic Mat,” but have no idea where to place it! PLEASE could someone help me!!! I have all the supplies but need the instructions! Thank you so much in advance!!!   By: les.koch (10-Feb-22) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • https://youtu.be/eg3sDkJPSDM this video shows a bit about the die cutting with the plates. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIp38IbVoP9eyXsEnjFT51jOEjyAekzac and here is a playlist of the Evolution advanced.

If you have the mini, theres a separate playlist for that one too. By: VickieB35 (11-Feb-22) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • Has anyone been able to use the Sizzix Framelits with the Revolution? I haven’t been able to get it to work with the Framelits.   By: curlyredmosaics (26-Apr-21) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Thanks for the response. I reached out to We R Memory Keepers and they said that the Framelits won't work with the Revolution because the dies are too thin. So I'll return it to Joannes this weekend. I purchased the Big Shot and a few other items from your shop yesterday. I can't wait to get my new cutting machine!!! By: curlyredmosaics (28-Apr-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • We believe they should work but you may need to use a shim (a thick piece of cardstock or chipboard) to give the die some lift to meet the rollers. By: Scrapbook.com (28-Apr-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Unfortunately, no as the Glimmer Hot Foil System can only be used in machines that can take thick, steel rule dies.

  • I just got the Revolution mini, it is my first die cutting machine. The dies cut into the base plate and leave the design on the plate. Doesn't seem like it should do that. Is it normal? I am using Sizzix Thinlits dies, which were stated to work with this model.   By: Cardly ever (14-Dec-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Yes, the dies are supposed to cut into the plates and the plates will need to be replaced eventually. This is normal with any die cutting machine. We hope this helps!
