Make stamping easy when you have the Black Ink Pad Storage Trays by Spectrum Noir for Crafter's Companion. Included in the package are six ink pad storage trays that hold 18 ink pads. Each tray measures 9.84" x 3.66" x .88" and each compartment measures 3.18" x 3.54" x .88".
I wasn't sure about these storage trays, as I have one of the swivel towers, but I needed more storage space that didn't take up the space of a tower. It was easy to put together and works really well on my table close to the tower. Just what I needed.
I LOVE these things. In my limited space I was able to stack 6 of these and fill them with my most loved ink pads cleaning up a huge corner of my stamping studio. Koodos for such a great product.
It serves the purpose for what I needed. The trays do not snap together and the tabs aligning the stacked trays aren't big enough to make it stable without the help of a little strip of tape running down the back to hold it together. The price is a little high and two tabs were broken on it when received. I made it work - didn't want to go through the return process.
You just saved my husband from having to build me something. I liked the 1st one so much, I got a 2nd. My Simon Says stamps fit in perfectly and I have room to shift or rearrange to group color families I’ll go for number 3 if I need it!

how easily do the distress oxide pads fit?

These will not fit the Stampin Up ink pads . I have these and I just tried them and NO they will not fit .

I use it for the crafters companion ind pads which are oval and 4 inches long by 2 3/4 inches wide.

Each compartment measures approximately 3.18" x 3.54" x 0.88" so any ink pads that are smaller than that size should work great!

Will the Maker Forte color hive ink pads fit?

After trying my inks in the storage unit, I can confirm that they fit, but only with force. The base of the Maker Forte color hive ink pads is larger than the 3" top. I could force them into the slots but then it was hard to pull them out. Unfortunately, in forcing them into place, the entire stack of trays would come apart. I kept the storage, but I'm using it for other ink pads instead.
