The materials that can be cut with multimedia dies are paper and cardstock, vellum, foil, vinyl, chipboard, cork, foam, cotton fabric, denim, faux leather, corduroy, and felt. Multimedia dies can be used for patchwork, applique, paper piercing, bag making, matting and layering, and sewing. Please refer to your machine's instructions for the correct sandwich to use with your Multimedia die to prevent damage to your plates and machine (all products mentioned are sold separately).

General Care/Safety Warnings:

  • To clean your machine, wipe the exterior surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or rough surface sponges
  • Not intended for use by children without adult supervision. For ages 14+
  • Keep hands away from plates and other parts in motion.
  • Loose-fitting clothing can get pulled into the machine, so be aware of your clothing.
  • Do not disable the safety sensor and override the motor controls.

Instructions: There is a User Guide included in the box and this is filled with all the ways to use the machine, the different sandwiches with cutting mats needed for the die types, embossing folders, and more.  Please refer to this guide for all details on use.

This little machine is amazing and you will never use another type of machine once you use this one. It has so many features and so many ways to use it, you will never tire of being amazed at your creations.

    Gemini Jr

To be honest, not too crazy about this machine. The only thing I like is that if you were to do a lot of die cutting you don’t have to do it by cracking the machine by hand. Had sizzix for 20 years now, and if I knew iI would have buy the sizzix with the button on the side to do the die cutting, etc. Not loving embossing with it had to replace the embossing plate already.

    Gemini Jr. is Great!

I've wanted one of these for quite a while. They've been out of stock and when I got the notice that they were back, I ordered immediately. I love it. It does such a good job of die-cutting. So nice that I no longer need to turn a crank but everything is electric and automatic. This was my last big purchase for my new craft room and I love it.

    Gemini Junior

This machine is great. I got tired of cranking away on my
Cuttlebug. Great for small jobs when I don't want to use my
larger machines. Scrapbook.com had the lowest price anywhere. As always, their service is great. Had my machine in just a few days.
Would highly recommend the Gemini Junior as well as Scrapbook.com.

    Gemini Jr

After opening Gemini Jr and running thin dies through machine 3 times one of the clear plates warped. After watching a YouTube video by Jennifer McQuire (made 4 mo ago) on the machine I learned a lot about using the machine and things are much better now. It would be good if Gemini Jr. put reference to her video in their instructions. I almost returned the machine.

    Gemini Jr

I have only used it a couple of times so far. It is much louder than I expected. The first time I used it, I tried one of the dies that came with machine, and I used the sandwich that is recommended in the book. It was too thick and had to play around to find the right sandwich. Hopefully, it will be easier/quicker as I get used to it. The die cuts came out great!

    Gemini Junior

I've only used the gemini junior for a couple of days but so far I love it. My only concern will be warping of the plates. They seem to warp faster than my manual Big Shot plates. I'm impressed how well it cuts on all my dies especially my intricate dies. I feel pretty certain I'm going to enjoy the easy of using it. I'd definitely would recommend the product.

    Easy machine.

I love how simple it is. I am surprised on how powerful it is. It bowed my plates the first time I used it. Just have to turn them around and over every time. I am an older person and do like my big shot but you do get a little weaker as you get older. The three D folders are a snap in this machine. Thank you, Gwen

I absolutely love the Gemini Jr. I had a Big Shot that I had for years and decided I wanted/needed an electric machine. So easy to use. I highly recommend.

    I love my Junior

Full confession, I didn't buy mine from here: I didn't think sc.com would be carrying the product because they carry many competitors' machines. I bought mine directly from the manufacturer, just before Christmas, and have really enjoyed using it.

It's really powerful: with the right dies (steel ruled) you can cut almost anything. It also does a beautiful job with 3D embossing folders AND it will cut with even the most annoying thin metal dies. I had a couple of intricate dies that I was about to pitch in the trash before I got this thing: they work just fine with the Gemini and the right "sandwich."

I didn't go for the larger machine because of space considerations but, if it works as well as the Junior (which I'm sure it does) I'd recommend that size for folks who want to go bigger with their die-cutting and embossing.

Questions & Answers
  • Is anyone having trouble with the plastic shim warping? I have replaced about 5 of them and haven't found the secret.   By: porsche (30-Dec-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hi... Yes I do. Warping plates is something we cannot avoid when it comes to die-cutting machine. I got this machine 3 years ago and still use the original plates. I just keep flipping them every time I use them. I washed the plates with warm water plus I soak them a few minute in very warm water (not too hot to touch) with putting heavy object on top of the section that need to be flatten, this will not make the plate perfectly flat but flat enough to continue its life of usage. Also, there are several tricks people share on YouTube how to take care the plates. I hope this answer can help you. Thank you. By: HelenGullett (02-Jan-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • I have a sizzix and those pads warp as well. It drives me nuts to see the scratches and bends. I started using a magic mat and like it. By: Stampin Shelley (01-May-22) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • Hello. You may be able to do this a cutting plate is likely needed for their to be a thick enough sandwich with appropriate pressure. We recommend using the clear cutting plate, magic mat, paper and die and then cutting plate on top. By: Scrapbook.com (03-May-22) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • can one buy from you a machine that is compatible for 220v (european Voltage)?
is ther a battery operated option ?
thanks   By: Ilana.magriso (23-May-19) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I bought a UK version of the A4 gemini with 220-240 voltage from ebay UK and have used it with a step up step down vo!tage converter. You need a voltage converter to use it in a country with different voltage, and a plug converter is not the same thing or the right thing. You will need a plug converter as well to be able to plug it in. Just don't think that is enough. I have seen many people blaming plug converters for burning out their appliances because they thought they were also supposed to be voltage converters. Make sure you get a voltage converter that is more powerful than you think you need (2 or 3x) or you can burn the machine out if it is a US model that you want to use with 220-240. I wanted one of that voltage because I plan to move back to England. I bought a gemini pro from Crafter's Companion UK site, the purchase of the UK model was confirmed, there was no contact at all from them, and then one day 5+ weeks later a US version was dumped at my front door. It was a major hassle getting them (CC US) to take it back. CC are ignorant of voltage converters and don't want to know. By: cynthialbbw (20-Aug-21) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • The machine on our site is compatible with standard US electric outlet voltage. Unfortunately, to our knowledge, there is no battery operated option for the Gemini Junior.
