can this be used for stencils?

Unfortunately, this Spray Adhesive is permanent and is not recommended for use with stencils.
Would this spray be appropriate for sticking down Vellum, so you don't see it thru the Vellum?? I used to have a spray product especially for this use but the can "dried up" it got so old!

This product is not marked for use with vellum so we believe it would show through the vellum.
