Questions & Answers
  • Do you use Embossing Glaze the same way you use Embossing Powder?   By: Kathyvan (08-Sep-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Yes, the glazes are used in exactly the same way as a traditional embossing powder with an embossing medium and heat tool but the effect is different. The end effect is translucent so you can colorize black and white images with the glazes using the Distress Embossing pen, and you can stamp an image for example a fish in a pond scene and then add Broken China in the pond since the color is not opaque you will see the fish in the pond underneath the glaze. It is also great for mixed media as you can layer with the glazes and use with the Distress Texture Pastes for cool effects. By: Ranger Ink (09-Sep-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • What are the differences between Distress paint, distress spray stain, and distress oxide spray? And when to use each?   By: bhadinger (05-Sep-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Distress Paints are fluid water-based acrylic paints for use on multiple surfaces. These paints are reactive with water like other Distress mediums. Use with stamps, paper, wood, metal, glass, plastic and more for an opaque matte finish on craft projects.

Distress Oxide Sprays are dye/pigment ink fusion that create oxidized effects when sprayed with water. Use for quick and easy ink coverage on
porous surfaces by spraying through stencils, layering colors, spritzing with water to watch the colors mix and blend.

Distress Sprays are similar to Oxide Sprays however they are made of only dye ink and will not oxidize when applied. Mist with water to lighten colors and create mottled effects or apply layers of stain to achieve more saturated color. All three mediums can be used on their own or in conjunction with one as in mixed media projects. By: Ranger Ink (09-Sep-20) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you!
