You will be a step ahead of everyone when it comes to creating birthday cards, invitations, Christmas cards, scrapbook pages, handmade projects from a variety of materials, beautiful frames, quilts, and so many other projects, not just paper crafting.
Compatibility: Works with most types of thin metal dies and embossing folders. Works with a variety of paper products, fabrics, chipboard, and other lightweight wood products (all products sold separately). This machine is compatible in the US and Canada only.
NOTE: This package includes a MultiMedia Die which functions a bit differently than a thin metal die. MultiMedia dies are ticker and the bladed designs are more pronounced to help cut through different materials. They can cut through multiple layers of fabric at one time which is perfect for sewing and quilting. The materials that can be cut with multimedia dies are paper and cardstock, vellum, foil, vinyl, chipboard, cork, foam, cotton fabric, denim, faux leather, corduroy, and felt. Multimedia dies can be used for patchwork, applique, paper piercing, bag making, matting and layering, and sewing. Please refer to your machine's instructions for the correct sandwich to use with your Multimedia die to prevent damage to your plates and machine (all products mentioned are sold separately).

Full confession, I didn't buy mine from here: I didn't think sc.com would be carrying the product because they carry many competitors' machines. I bought mine directly from the manufacturer, just before Christmas, and have really enjoyed using it.
It's really powerful: with the right dies (steel ruled) you can cut almost anything. It also does a beautiful job with 3D embossing folders AND it will cut with even the most annoying thin metal dies. I had a couple of intricate dies that I was about to pitch in the trash before I got this thing: they work just fine with the Gemini and the right "sandwich."
I didn't go for the larger machine because of space considerations but, if it works as well as the Junior (which I'm sure it does) I'd recommend that size for folks who want to go bigger with their die-cutting and embossing.

I would recommend this machine to anyone who is a crafter and enjoys die cutting or embossing especially if they do a lot of it. This machine is an investment, but worth that investment so that should be considered before/when purchasing. I have enjoyed the times I’ve used it; I LOVE the fact that it’s electric, and just pulls the plates through without pushing any buttons. My main complaint is that the plates warp, so I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who purchases this machine to purchase a backup set of the plates. The plates can be straightened slightly after warping using different methods. I personally found the best to be to put the plates in hot water and then place something heavy on them, watch them and then repeat, as necessary. I was satisfied with my purchase from Scrapbook.com. My order came as expected. I in fact had to contact Customer Service about some questions and received EXCELLENT service and would definitely purchase from Scrapbook.com again if they had the product, I was looking for.

I've wanted one of these for quite a while. They've been out of stock and when I got the notice that they were back, I ordered immediately. I love it. It does such a good job of die-cutting. So nice that I no longer need to turn a crank but everything is electric and automatic. This was my last big purchase for my new craft room and I love it.

I have a Cricut explore machine which I love but it doesn’t cut the intricate cuts that the Gemini does so this was a very good purchase and so excited to have it in my craft room.
The only negative I have is I’m still trying to figure out the plate configuration, but I’ve only had it for a week.

Cuttlebug. Great for small jobs when I don't want to use my

I have only used this one day so far, making approx 6 cuts/pass throughs w multiple dies on the plate. Loving this machine. Its quit and takes approx 10 secinds for the plates to pass through the machine.

If you've been using a manual due cutting machine you will love how well the gemini machines work and how clean your cuts will be. Happy to get the junior at such a great price. Shipping was quick and item arrived in perfect condition.

To be honest, not too crazy about this machine. The only thing I like is that if you were to do a lot of die cutting you don’t have to do it by cracking the machine by hand. Had sizzix for 20 years now, and if I knew iI would have buy the sizzix with the button on the side to do the die cutting, etc. Not loving embossing with it had to replace the embossing plate already.

I ordered this mini to get my Christmas cards started. I know this will help me produce cards faster. I own the larger machine but have not used it yet. I recommend this for anyone who makes greeting cards or quilting.

Is anyone having trouble with the plastic shim warping? I have replaced about 5 of them and haven't found the secret.

Hi... Yes I do. Warping plates is something we cannot avoid when it comes to die-cutting machine. I got this machine 3 years ago and still use the original plates. I just keep flipping them every time I use them. I washed the plates with warm water plus I soak them a few minute in very warm water (not too hot to touch) with putting heavy object on top of the section that need to be flatten, this will not make the plate perfectly flat but flat enough to continue its life of usage. Also, there are several tricks people share on YouTube how to take care the plates. I hope this answer can help you. Thank you.

Hello. You may be able to do this a cutting plate is likely needed for their to be a thick enough sandwich with appropriate pressure. We recommend using the clear cutting plate, magic mat, paper and die and then cutting plate on top.

can one buy from you a machine that is compatible for 220v (european Voltage)?
I bought a UK version of the A4 gemini with 220-240 voltage from ebay UK and have used it with a step up step down vo!tage converter. You need a voltage converter to use it in a country with different voltage, and a plug converter is not the same thing or the right thing. You will need a plug converter as well to be able to plug it in. Just don't think that is enough. I have seen many people blaming plug converters for burning out their appliances because they thought they were also supposed to be voltage converters. Make sure you get a voltage converter that is more powerful than you think you need (2 or 3x) or you can burn the machine out if it is a US model that you want to use with 220-240. I wanted one of that voltage because I plan to move back to England. I bought a gemini pro from Crafter's Companion UK site, the purchase of the UK model was confirmed, there was no contact at all from them, and then one day 5+ weeks later a US version was dumped at my front door. It was a major hassle getting them (CC US) to take it back. CC are ignorant of voltage converters and don't want to know.

The machine on our site is compatible with standard US electric outlet voltage. Unfortunately, to our knowledge, there is no battery operated option for the Gemini Junior.
