This folder is compatible with leading die cutting and embossing machines (sold separately). Ink can be applied to one side of the folder and cardstock added for a letter press effect. The raised embossing can be highlighted with ink for a different kind of a look. This is a really nice embossing folder and it's well-done, which is not surprising for Spellbinders quality.
Edit: It wasn't until I paid for my order that I saw that, evidently, I had already bought this folder because it already had the above review! I haven't come across it anywhere, so I'm getting to see it all over again, with this duplicate, and I love it. I love evergreen trees and the only thing lacking is that wonderful scent of Christmas trees. :D

Using this as the base foe my Christmas stamps this year. So delicate and refined.
Took several tries to find the "right sandwich" to get this folder through my Big Shot. I love the result and it is definitely usable for more than a winter/Christmas emboss.
