The Standard Adapter A by Sizzix is designed for the Big Shot Plus Machine and the Big Shot Switch Plus (both sold separately). This adapter is meant to be used with the Big Shot Plus Platform to run Framelits, Thinlits, or Triplits dies through the Big Shot Plus Machine. The adapter, also known as a cutting mat, is constructed of polypropylene plastic. This Adapter measures 9" x 15" x 0.125".

Sorry, had to return this and never used it because I ordered the wrong size.
The product was curved instead of flat because it was packaged weird. I’n using it in my machine, this problem is correcting back to flat.
Because Scrapbook.com did not include the dimensions of this item in its Full Description, I ordered it in error. I need the Standard Plate A Adapter for the Big Shot Fold-Away machine. This one is too big,. Therefore, I needed Scrapbook.com to send me a Return Code, and at my expense had to mail back this item. Scrapbook.com did offer me a 10% customer discount on a next purchase for the inconvenience.
NOTE: the 6 x 9 Adapter Plate A is apparently not available except from foreign vendors, and I do not wish to take that route.

Can the alteration dies be used with the big shot plus?

You don't need a platform, you just use two cutting plates, lay one down with the alteration die facing up, put your paper on top, place the other cutting plate on it and run it through the big shot. Hope that helps!

Hi there, yes you can use the alteration dies with the Big Shot Plus machine. The Big Shot Plus Machine offers plenty of stylish appeal with the same versatility of working with the entire product library (with the exception of Bigz Pro dies) - including our smallest to our big 9" wide plastic-backed dies and embossing tools.
