So, what is the benefit to using this platform??? The video doesn't show me anything that clarifies why we need this. Sorry but I'm still learning on my bigshot and I have the other pads that allow me to do this as well. Would you clarify for me.

This is only used for the movers and shapers dies. If you don't have them you don't need this.

Does this take the place of the base tray? I need a replacement for my base tray but that seems to be discontinued. If this isn't the replacement, then what do you use in place of the base tray with Tim Holtz movers and shapers dies?

This is meant to be used with the movers and shapers dies instead of the base tray. Your sandwich can be seen on the above product photo if you click and enlarge it. We hope this helps!

The video does�nt show how to use the MOVERS AND SHAPERS SHUTTLE I am used to read in this section before buying..........I wish I could see it.....

Yes it can be used with any movers and shapers die. The platform down first with the magnetic side up (the instructions are on the magnetic side), then the die face up, the material, then one cutting pad n top of that- then run it through the machine like normal.
