How to use Cutting Pads with a Die Cutting Machine:
Earlier this year I got the sad news that Cuttlebug was not making cutting plates for their hand crank die cut machine! Thankfully, my mother had two Sizzix Big Shot machines and was kind enough to give me one, but it had no plates. These will certainly fill the bill and I am so happy that I can continue to manually die-cut!

These cutting plates were a very nice sale price and they are really attractive...I will definitely know which plate goes on the top! I am, however, concerned about the thickness. They seem to be just a bit thinner than all my other clear plates, which means that I'll have to have a shim ready, just in case.
These were ordered to replace my very well used cutting pads. They are the best size for when I am cutting small images and my most used pads with my Big Shot.
Cutting pads are essential and these do the job, but they are also a beautiful color so they are easy to see compared to the original clear ones that just blend in. I love the new sparkle, it seems to inspire my imagination and creativity.
love the ocean blue. I will keep these as non cutting pads and it will be easy to know the blue ones go on top of the cutting pads
They were not the right size for my machine. My machine broke & I purchased a Big Shot machine to replace it & now I have the right size pads! I like the color. Now I know which is the top pad & which is the bottom pad at a glance!
Love the sparkle that's not pink!! Ordered these with my new Big Shot. Yes, two came with it, but I want to make sure I still have sparkled pads when it's time for a replacement.
I Only use one cutting pad at a time because I keep my precision cutting plate on top of the magnetic platform. 2 cutting plates will last a long time and I have loved the new colors Sizzix came out with last year or so. But these Scrapbook.com exclusive cutting pads are really very pretty and they have an extra advantage...at least to me.
There had been times with the other colored cutting pads that I would lose the edges because the colors of the cardstock would blend into the cutting pad. But with these, the glitter in the pads shows me where everything is.
The glitter is well seated into the acrylic that makes up the pads, so you do not need to worry about getting little glitter shaped patterns in your cardstock or paper.
I will order another set or 2 of these pads before Sizzix discontinues them or something. I love to find a pair of glittery cutting pads in Apple Green!
Ok, when I ordered these I didn't realize they were glittery looking. Not that there is glitter on the outside that would come off, mind you. So they are different than I expected, but very pretty and perform just like the standard clear plates.
I needed new cutting pads and these really do the trick. I like the colour and i can easily find them on my desk. I use only one on top and keep my old one on the bottom and then I get double use from my new pads. Thanks scrapbook.com for your excellent products.

The ocean blue glitter pads are made of the same high quality polycarbonate plastic as the clear plates and will scratch and warp over time. Flip the plates over to extend the cutting life.

Will these work as regular cutting boards? I don't have a Sizzix or otger machine, but love the color and idea of a small cutting board that's easy to find.

Hello. The pads are constructed from durable, see-through polycarbonate plastic, which is designed to withstand the high pressure of die-cutting and embossing machines. They are not specifically listed as "food safe".

I recently ordered the Stampin Up Sunflower 3D embossing folder. I have a Sizzix Big Kick and there are no combinations that work to emboss the folder. I ended up having to use 3 sheets of cardstock folded over in order to get the impression. Believe me, I tried every possible scenario before using the cardstock. My question is, are the blue plates thinner than the normal plates that came with my big kick?

Hi. The Sizzix cutting pads have not been tested for compatibility with Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. We do not recommend using a different brand of plate in your machine.
