Sturdy Standard Ink Case

“Since my ink collection has grown, I've been needing a better way to store my ink pads rather than keeping them in a plastic shoe box way on top of my shelf. I was VERY impressed with this organizer. It's made of very sturdy, durable plastic and houses my Stampin' Up inks perfectly. I have no qualms about this organizer breaking anytime soon. The top tray is great for storing small bottles of glitter, Stickles, alcohol inks, or just extra ink refill bottles. And it's only about 3 or 4 inches deep so it doesn't take up too much desktop space at all. I'm very pleased with this item and will probably buy a couple more.” – krisalis903

Best Craft Organizer - PortaInk Standard Case

“Very sturdy plastic. Takes up very little space. Easy to clean. It fits Stampin’ Up ink pads perfect. Others either have some space at the sides (which is no trouble) or empty space at the back. For them (like Tim Holtz) I put a chuck of foam at the back to fill the space. It works great. You can buy the spacers, but I had the free foam.” - zac

    DECENT ITEM FOR THE MONEY!

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A SCRAPBOOKING/CREATIVE TYPE PERSON. BUT RECENTLY I HAVE GOTTEN INTO CARD MAKING AND STAMPING AND HAVE PURCHASED MANY ITEMS INCLUDING MANY STAMP PADS THAT I NEEDED SOMETHING TO DO WITH. WHEN WORKING IT IS HARD TO HAVE EVERYTHING LAYING AROUND THE TABLE. SO I PURCHASED THIS ITEM TO TRY TO ORGANIZE MYSELF. I HAVE TO BE HONEST, I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT THAT IT WAS SO CHEAP THAT IT WOULD BE FLIMSY. I COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG. IT IS REALLY WELL MADE AND IS NOT WOBBLY. MY BIGGEST FEAR WAS THAT I WOULD GO TO REACH FOR SOMETHING AND IT WOULD KNOCK IT OVER. THAT IS NOT THE CASE AT ALL. SO I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY PRODUCT.IN FACT, I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED SOME DYE INK AND AM THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING ANOTHER ONE FOR DYE INK, AND LEAVE MY OTHER ONE FOR PIGMENT INK. I USE THIS FOR ORGANIZATION ONLY NOT FOR STORAGE OF THE ITEMS WHEN I PUT THE INK AWAY (UNFORTUNATELY I DON'T HAVE A CRAFT ROOM), SO I HAVE TO STORE THINGS AWAY. A VERY DECENT ITEM FOR THE PRICE. I HAVE SEEN THINGS MADE WAY CHEAPER FOR WAY MORE MONEY...I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY BUY.

Best product ever made for ink storage!

I had been pulling my hair out over all of the ink pads I have accumulated for my multimedia. I happened to be browsing and saw this. I bought one along with the inserts as many of my inks are Tim Holtz.

It was love as soon as I put those inserts in (which went in easily for me with a little help from a jewelry sized flat head screwdriver). I have it hanging on the wall above my work table. Not only is it great for keeping all of the pads organized and ready to use, being able to hang it on the wall freed up space on my table!

I just ordered another one last night without the inserts for my other ink pads and I cannot wait until it is delivered later in the week! I can see myself ordering at least 1 more possibly 2 with inserts.

As to it being an unsightly black all I can say is, "Are we crafters or not?!" You don't like the facade of the organizer then cover it up with scrap book paper. I used DCWV's Royal Garden. I love the Peacock feathers running around the sides and fronts.

Perfect solution for storing ink pads

I have been looking for ages for a way to store my SU ink pads. I don't like the carousel type storage as they take up too much room. There are some very nice looking wood ones out there but I didn't want to spend a fortune - I'd rather spend my money on scrapbook/card supplies. ;-)
This case is perfect and what made it even more so is that I could mount another case on the side to store up to 24 markers. I ordered one of those as well and am happy I did.
The case arrived today and I couldn't be more pleased. It has the option of hanging it on the wall, but it takes up so little room that I can keep it on my desk. I dressed it up a little bit with a strip of washi tape across the top and bottom. Great product.

    Ink Pad Storage

These towers are amazing. I bought 2 of them and am going to order a third one. They are very sturdy and stack nicely on countertop and can also be hung. I filled mine up with Stampin Up ink pads and they fit like a glove. Like them alot more than the carousel tower. They also fit Tim Holtz pads with the inserts. There is a place on the top for ink refills , stickles etc. I put all my clear blocks on top of one which works great.

  • Does this ink pad organizer accommodate Stampin Up ink pads?   By: Jaige (02-Jul-14) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • yes, perfectly! that's the best part about it. I even have a couple Color Box inks in mine, but I do have some tissue paper roll cardboard behind them so they don't get pushed too far in. • I see where it holds SU ink pads but does it also hold Memento, Fresh Ink, Umbrella and Hero Arts ink pads. I really need a good storage case for my new craft room. I have several different brands of inks.   By: Carolani (17-Dec-15) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

Does this accommodate Close To My Heart ink pads?   By: User (18-Jul-15) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I don't know what size those ink pads are, but they do hold Stampinup inks and GinaK inks and Simon Says ink. I hope this helps By: Jandktravis (19-Jul-15) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

    • It also holds Kaleidacolor ink pads. I have 4 of these packed with ink pads and reinkers. They are a great solution for storage. I used a sharpie to add the color name on the outside face of each of my ink pads for easy reference. I also like that I can spin them around to see the other side. I have had these for probably 4 or 5 years. By: vikib (15-Jan-16) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • How portable is this? I frequently go to crops and don't see the sense in unpacking storage, repacking and unpacking again for transport.   By: celticmystyc (06-Jan-15) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • It comes with a strap for ease in carrying it around but it's still a bulky item. I guess it depends on how many ink pads you would be needing to transport if it would be worth it. • How is it with holding the square Tim Holtz distress oxide ink pads   By: rocksdebalina (17-May-18) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I found that the openings are too deep and the square Distress ink pads "get lost" and are difficult to reach. One solution is to cut cardboard toilet rolls in half and insert them into the back of the openings and the ink pads all sit forward enough to be able to see and get them out easily. • Does this hold Gina K ink pads   By: Alice4h (13-Mar-18) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Yes it does. I have Fun Stampers Journey ink pads, as well as the larger Stampin' Up pads in mine.
With the smaller pads, you can also fit a re-inker in right next to your stamp pad.
With the larger pads, I have to put the re-inkers in the slots on top. By: CrLiekhus (14-Mar-18) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
