You're going to have endless creative fun creating foiled invites, cards, tags and so much more using the Gemini FoilPress Machine by Crafter's Companion! The Foil Press is designed to work with the Gemini brand die cutting and embossing machines (all other machines mentioned are sold separately), and it comes with a foiling platform that is perfectly sized to fit the Gemini Jr. Note: The FoilPress can also be used with the original Gemini machine but users will need to buy a Top Plate Extender (sold separately) to be able to use this correctly. The FoilPress machine is not compatible with the Gemini Go (each sold separately). Included in the 16 piece package:

      It's true that the extender plate will engage the heat sensors, I believe so that you can use the Foil Press platform in your larger original-sized Gemini cutting machine. But, just in the last year, a NEW platform that is sized 9" by 12" has been created by Crafter's Companion, which means that you can now create foil projects due to the size of this much larger platform that simply was not available before. This platform, I am told simply clicks into the original Foil Press machine as the 5" by 7" platform does. It can be purchased separately, and then you would not need the extender plate unless you are using the smaller platform for the Foil Plate.

      I am really HOPING that Scrapbook.com will bring in this larger platform so that we can purchase it here. Right now it's not available in many places, and none are those that Canadians can access, even the US Crafter's Companion site, and the UK site sells the UK version which utilizes a different electrical voltage than we use here in Canada and the US. Can you please help us out Scrapbook.com? I love shopping here! It's a great place for Canadian crafters to shop, I can attest to this!       Yes, when using the FoilPress machine with the full-size Gemini machine the extender plate will need to be used.       You may be able to use any thin dies with this but they may not work as well as the ones for this machine. You can use this product with both the Gemini and Gemini Junior machines.       Any heat activated foil will work, such as the ones for the Glimmer machine. Toner foils, such as Deco Foil, Gina K foils, and the ones for the Minc machine, will not work.
