This ruler is see-through and has a strong magnetic force. I love this ruler and use it all the time. I actually prefer this one and don't like the one it actually comes with. The one it comes with is real flimsy bends and magnet is not near as strong it also curves up so to use it as a straight edge is not easy for me. If you purchase the make art stay-tion, which is great, I highly recommend you purchase this ruler to go with it. It would be nice if they put this one with it instead of the white one but until then, buy this one.
The clear ruler works great to be able to see what item you might want to align with another item, think it should be one included in the Make art stay-tion.
This is a great ruler! It's great for aligning card borders, dies and sentiments.
