This 3-in-1 set is helping me put new twists on my Halloween cards. The dies are very delicate looking, but I have not encountered any problems cutting through cardstock. The dies are not freestanding, but rather they are designed to cut into backgrounds. The bat die produces great bat confetti, so don't throw them away.

I had problems with this set but Scrapbook.com's great customer service helped me out. They sent me a new set which works better for me. I can't give 5 star rating because the cut is not crisp for me but I love the design and will make it work.

I just received the 3 Dies Tim Holtz alterations pack of thinlits. No matter what I try (at least 25x) the damask-look thinlit will not cut through paper. I've never had an issue with any thinlit. How do I get this particular one to work? I use a Big Shot, metallic platform, thin metal sheet, various widths of plates, added cardboard pieces, rubber sheets, etc. What's the trick?

Do the other two dies in your package work ok? Maybe that particular one is faulty? I have had that happen to me once. I use the Sizzix platform base on 2, two cutting pads, one of which is the precision base plate(this is always on the bottom, your paper, and your die cutting side facing it) the top one is a regular cutting pad.

Hi, any of the Sizzix Thinlit dies will work with all Sizzix Machines: Big Shot (660425), Big Shot Express (660540), Big Shot Plus (660340), and Vagabond 2 (660855). We also recommend that you use the Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies (656499) to hold dies securely in place during cutting.
