Add a rustic outdoor feel to your creations with the Planks Bigz Die from the Alterations Collection designed by Tim Holtz. The die cleanly cuts thick materials including cardstock, chipboard, fabric, foam, magnet, leather, metallic foil, paper and sandpaper in limited use. Designed for use only with the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines and requires the use of a pair of Cutting Pads, all sold separately. Included in the package is one die by Sizzix that measures 5.5" x 6". The designs measure from 1" x 2.75" to 1" x 5.15".
I love this die. When I use this with wood grain paper and then run it through a wood grain embossing folder, it looks like the bark of a tree. Can use the short stubby one as a tree stump and it works great. Cannot wait for the 3d embossing folder with the wood grain
I have enjoyed using this die with embossing folder I already own and just without. I use them together or several at a time. As usual sizzix and Tim Holtz products are very well made products.
Love these plank dies. They work well on my cards. Thanks Tim Holtz for making these. You can't go wrong with this die.
Can hardly wait to use these on one of the houses for Halloween
I wish this was available in a larger bigz die, or thinlets. It's easy to cut in such a way to make the trunks longer, but I'd like them wider as well. Still, being a Bigz Die is super handy for cutting fabric and felt for appliqueing
Wonderful die ... great ideas for how to use .. endless possibilities ... came quickly and fun to use.
This Planks set is Awesome and the completed look is Spectacular.
I really like these worn, ratty wood planks. I love old wood.

Do you need a separate embossing folder to get the texture on the die cuts?

The die just cuts the jagged ends but the die cut is smooth. I embossed it with a wood grain folder and it looks great. It also looks good with just the wood grain paper. Hope this helps
