    3d impresslits -- a bit disappointed

I had been chomping at the bit for these since I saw the announcement last May. I love dresden & my 1st thought was how cool to be able to make my own. But now that I have them, I'm a bit disappointed. The border on the upper portion of the dies are not as close-cropped as they appear in the pic. There is a blank border of approx. 1/8" that makes a difference in the appearance of the die cut. It makes me want to trim the excess myself....that's not good. I don't know if it's just the die cutting machine accident on the 3 I bought, or if they all look like this. If you don't mind that excess border, go for it. The embossing itself is beautiful.

  • Not "Impressed"

Bought this a little while ago with a view to using on Christmas stuff. Unfortunately with only a few passes through the Big Shot, the embossing folder component bent like a banana and the die fell out. I can still use the die obviously but to get it all lined up is very tricky as the whole thing is not very wide.
