Smart crafters will choose the Wise Men Thinlits Dies from the Alterations Collection by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. There are 2 thin metal dies included that measure 5.25" x 2.75" to 1.5" x 2.25". The dies can be used with the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines (requires use of a pair of Cutting Pads and the machine's included Platform; when using the Essentials Platform or Solo Platform & Shim, the Extended Adapter or Solo Adapter is required, all pieces sold separately) to cut, emboss or stencil. One die is in the shape of a star and the other has the three wise men and a camel.
I was waiting for this die and Scrapbook.com notified me first that they had it. It is striking. By adding white pen highlights just along the edge facing the star you get a beautiful effect. The detail is amazing. It is so different from other nativity dies I have. You will be glad you bought it.
Haven't tried it yet but totally irritated with Sizzix for the long delay getting this die out to the public. It looks beautiful and will probably use it although most of what I wanted to use it for is too late. I hope the die cutting fans will voice their displeasure with the company and maybe next year they will plan better.
Bought this die b4 Christmas and made some amazing cards!! This die is just beautiful, with so much intricate details! It cuts through but had 2 use my extra metal plate an it cut out great! I would definitely recommend this die! U won't regret it!

I have just completed my Christmas cards using this die. The background is a picture of the Judean Desert, taken while in Israel last spring. I used the star inside the card with a stamped message below. I have received many compliments - thanks for providing the perfect die.

Have many nativity dies, but none of the Magi. Great size, very detailed. Love the star die that was included.

Does this die completely cut from the paper? Mine does not cut away. I had to cut by hand. cant find anything in instructions.

It does not cut completely away. This allows you to make the foreground (what the wisemen are standing on) however tall/wide you want to fit your project (ie card front).
