Easily secure and position your dies and so much more with the Maker's Tape that is part of the Making Essentials Collection by Sizzix. Included are two rolls of tape that features a versatile low tack and is translucent. Try out masking an area for your next project too, you will love the versatility of this tape! The tape has gridded design and each roll measures approximately 2 1/2" x 6.5 yards.
From the photo I expected the tape to be 1 inch wide, but it is actually only 1/2 inch wide. The 5 stars is for the product, not for Scrapbook's marketing of it!
I was expecting an Imperial/US unit of measurement with that grid and was disappointed it was a metric measurement. I read the description again to make sure I didn't miss a mention of the measurement, but didn't see it. Did I miss it? As for usefulness as a tack tape, I found it comparable to other tapes I have used, so it was a good tape in that respect. Yes, I would recommend it to a friend for tack tape, but not for US measuring!
I was so excited to see the grid marks for making frames and borders for some stacked dies...but there was so little tack, the dies shifted with the slightest move. I could not even get them to my cutting machine without having to reposition several times. I used double amount, just trying to get the tape to stick the thin die down. The grids were helpful when spacing them out, but no good if they don't hold. They do not tear paper at all. Sadly, I bought two packages.
This tape works so well to keep my project in place and make my dies stay put before I begin cutting. Doesn't tear my projects when I remove it and I use the same piece over and over. It's more of a paper type tape than washi-ish. Not quite as tacky as washi, but sufficient to hold everything still when I need it to. Great tool.
How did I ever function without this tape before??? It has made crafting so much LESS stressful!!! :-)
Now I have another tacky tape that I can order from your website! It does what need it to do! The craft stores don't really carry tacky tape and, most crafters use washi tape, in I refuse to use because of the adhesive being to strong of a hold, causing ripping and tearing of your project that you are working on! Please make larger rolls! Thank you!
I like the sizzix tape better than washi tape. It releases without ruining anything but it's just the right amount of adhesive where it keeps my dies in place. I also like that I can reuse a piece many times over, so it does last a good while.
Great low tack tape. Works perfect for securing position of dies prior to cutting. Low tack doesn’t harm papers and is reusable several times.
good to find a tape made for temporary hold of dies that does not pick up paper to which it has been attached! Best deal yet.
Works great to hold dies in place while die cutting. Use it for other projects to hold them in place.
