I would pass it as a firey look. (11 September 2020)

So, like another commenter on a review for the new color, I too unfortunately made that same mistake and brought the regular ink one too first, even though the oxide one was my first choice. I do aree that the oxide type has a more a burnt fiery orange that's closer to the rust color as I compared those two as well. They are both well pigmented with every drop, but this one has a slightly "ash-like" finish when dries. Don't know if that's an oxide thing as it is my first time getting one but it's great for this color. It is perfect for fall yes, but I needed it as a best match for an authentic flames look. Both are pretty but oxide is closer to orange when dry than the ink. The regular ink style has a more red shade tone to it but still enough orange to give it that flame look. Like a cross between fired brick with rusty hinge and also a bright blood look too. Hope that made sense.

More burnt orange toned (11 September 2020)

Like another commenter on a review for the new color, I too unfortunately made that same mistake and brought the regular ink one too first, even though the oxide was my first choice. Agreed, that the oxide type has a more a burnt fiery orange look that's closer to the rust color as I compared this color to two other shades which I'll mention below. Both this one and the ink are pigmented with every drop, but this type (the oxide) has a slightly "ash-like" finish when dries. Don't know if that's an oxide thing as it is my first time getting one but it's great for this color. It is perfect for fall yes, but I needed it as a best match for an authentic flames look. Both are pretty but oxide is closer to orange when dry than the ink, which has a redder tone when dry but you can still see the orange. Overall I would say think intense orange. Like a cross between fired brick with rusty hinge and a bright blood look too. Hope that made sense.

  • Beautiful embellishments and nice size too (14 February 2020)

I actually got this as a free gift from prima as part of my February freebie gift from an order I just made on the 8th. It is so cute and the colors are lively! I was really nervous that I'd get something I wouldn't be interested in that I'd never useas I'm particularly picky... but I'm so thankful to whoever packed together my order and shipped it because I got the " Prima - Leaf Embellishments - Evergreen " which is exactly what I would have wanted and loved!! I might have been pure coincedence and sheer luck but whether it was or wasn't, as it was not on my favorite/wishlist account, I'm gratefully happy!! So much so, that it matches the similar pattern style of the rest of my house! Lol thank you prima, scrapbook, and to whom ever packed the order!!! 💖💕

Much prettier than I thought, impressed. (10 February 2020)

I like the array of darker green tones in it with the Mica. Surprised, but very easy to use. Tap on the top while facing down because it's easier for the powder to come out than the CS pixie collection. Love both product brands and have whole collection from both (mostly) but had different shades of certain colors I was after. Examples like the golden sparkler, Catherine Wheel, and this one due to its deeper green hue.

  • Verified Buyer

Yes! This is the type of red watercolor powder I was looking for!! (10 February 2020)

I love this color, it's what I needed. I've got every color for the CS pixie powders, but their "red" version is more of a deep garnet red versus the bright blood red I was looking for. Hope that didn't come across as too intense, it only looks like that when there is enough water that the colors are mixed. If it's a light spray then it is as seen online, with the hot pink, orange, and yellow splash bits. Also, lots of Mica in it and the handle is way easier to use.

  • Verified Buyer

Better than I expected- was surprised! (10 January 2020)

Ohhh myyyy gooooosh! First off, that golden sparkler is a MUST HAVE item!! I'm not huge for gold but if it's enough to catch my attention, it has to be interesting- which it is!! The tones mix well together (if you are not using a fine spray and spray close to the paper. A fine mist spray enhances all of the other colors better) and dries with the gold mica shimmer on top nicely. You'll see, (there's YouTube videos on it but seeing it in person does it more justice.) I enjoyed the falling leaves one, it was also very pretty, it's just that the other one caught me off guard from wet to dry. It's similar to a lime green color. These are light weight, and I really love that it isn't a hassle to come out when landing on the water. As soon as it touches the water it has like a "firework display" you'll see happening within seconds because of how it spreads out. Highly recommend this pack.

Too tiny but the ink dye works great! (10 January 2020)

Ordered this because I needed it for a tiny project I made. Came out great! Perfect color needed for "burnt paper"-look. You can use this on either color paper (white or Ivory) and the color stays true.

    A deep Black shade (10 January 2020)

Woah, this is very black, the pigment dye color is like JET black, but there's still plenty of Mica shimmer in it, it's just very fine. Still pretty, it's great for like a gothic theme, or spooky Halloween project. This has so much fine sparkle reflecting from this, it's gorgeous! I tried experimenting various ways and even worried about the water ruining the sparkle because I added a huge glob! (I was afraid because I've never used it before so I didn't know what to expect; also I did it on a very thin drawing paper to test it) it came out just fine, and this was with the paper towel soaking it up most of it without patting it down. It's basically idiot proof, but I do really recommend that you test and play with it first but it's hard to ruin art work with this unless you are meticulous, like myself and want specifics for certain things. Here's a great link showing all the colors, (as i have them all) but unless you see it in person, neither my description or this video link does it justice! Amazing, versatile product that is well worth investing because you can put this in ANYTHING! Water, glues, paints, inks, mediums.

Favorite yellow shade (10 January 2020)

I would say that this one is my favorite yellow of the color shades because it's not "highlighter Bright" and it looks like if it had gold speck tones to it. This has so much fine sparkle reflecting from this, it's gorgeous! I tried experimenting various ways and even worried about the water ruining the sparkle because I added a huge glob! Definitely looks like a plum color to me. Not the literal darker kind that is similar to a prune though, lol. This has so much fine sparkle reflecting from this, it's gorgeous! This one has some of that red-orangey fall color copper has when you powder it up enough so take it easy if you want the softer tone. I don't think I could explain this color even if I told you. Luckily the video i attached below, can! ;) But i will warm you, if I could describe this color, I would call it a surprise mess. Simply because I can never get the color quite right in "scrunched up" or tiny projects. It turns too dark to see. This has so much fine sparkle reflecting from this, it's gorgeous! This one looks more like a lime green-vibe but it definitely does have a mint color when you see it. Idk why but (before you buy) on the label it looks more like a lime-yellow color and you wonder where the heck the mint color is. Then in person, it's definitely different.(Referring to the color example on the bottle) but it's great! Wish they had actual mint/mint green tones though. But it has so much fine sparkle reflecting from this, it's gorgeous! I tried experimenting various ways and even worried about the water ruining the sparkle because I added a huge glob! Hmm, Didn't seem like a silver color because of a blue-ish pewter tone it had in it. I added more of the 'white pearl mixer' to it but that's just me.

By far the best white mica/dye powder out there next to frozen jack Frost!! I even love it when the "chunks" dry because I accidentally over tapped. It gives it a gentle textured look.

So I really recommend if you are trying to get a deep garnet kind of red color for this to add more powder if its going to be mixed in with something thick like soft gloss, texture paste, etc. Experiment with it first, and look at how pigminted you want the color because I needed a really bold red color and more me I had to keep putting more of it. But don't worry about wasting it, lol, there's A LOT of it in there that will go a long ways. If it's going to be on paper, (cardstock for example) then the deep garnet red color will show up easily. If you are looking for a more brighter, light blood red color then "Catherine Wheel" is best because when it's got plenty of water then it will mix in with it's other colors in it fine. Otherwise if you use a fine spray mist at a distance then you will get that pretty separated array of colors you see on it's example ad. (didn't use a Fancy bottle) There is definitely a lot of fine sparkle reflecting from it. It is truly so beautiful! (03 November 2019)

So this color is a dark deep grey with like a smooth plum-like purple that has a violet shine to it. There is so much fine sparkle reflecting from this, it's gorgeous!
