This two piece etched metal set, Stitched Diamond Argyle, is part of the Stitchmas Christmas Collection from Spellbinders. This die set makes a detailed argyle background and covers an A2-sized card front. The dot designs are a guide to stitching the patterns with embroidery floss and a needle. This die set can also be used as-is. These dies are compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). These dies can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, journals, planners, and other paper crafting and mixed media projects. The outline die measures 4.25" x 5.5" and the diamond argyle insert measures 4.1" x 5.3".
Tip: To embroider this design, use two strands of a six-strand DMC Floss or DMC Diamant Metallic Thread and a size 22 tapestry needle (all products sold separately).
Depending on which diamonds you stitch and what color you use, you can create a variety of different looking cards with this stitched card. You can use it without stitching, but adding the time and effort of stitching the card really steps it up for someone you want to thank or wish a happy birthday.
