  • Big Shot - BIG DEAL!

I bought the Big Shot a short time ago. Now I'm a crafter who has had a Cuddlebug and an Excalibur and I'm here to tell you that the Big Shot is the easiest machine to use...in my opinion. I love it! Scrapbook.com also had the best price and sale at the time I purchased this machine. I would recommend you check here before checking anyplace else before to buy. There is a reason more crafters use the Big Shot and I now know why!! Do you want to know why?

  • Very Happy

I've been using another company's die cutting machine since I started card making 3-4 years ago. I've been ok with its performance, but could tell it was lacking, just from all the tutorial videos I watched with people using the Big Shot. I've only had this a week but can already tell it's miles above my old machine in quality, performance, and ease of use. I wish I'd have gotten this brand when I first started paper crafting! I highly recommend!!

  • Good size and price

So far I am loving the whole die cut craft! It was very confusing at first what additional parts I need to make the “sandwich”. It seems there are a lot of add ons. I find that if I stick with products from one company, excluding the dies, then all the parts work.

As for dies, I make sure I stay with “thinlits” or wafer thin die cuts.

  • Great product

This is sooooooooooooo nice. Can use bigger dies and it sure beats the slot machine type handle.

Product Questions & Answers

  • What's the difference between the sizzix big shots. I want to buy one, just not sure which one?   By: SSSMITH614 (17-Jul-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • There are different color Big Shots distributed by big box stores and small Mom & Pop stores. The machines are exactly the same. The color scheme is just different. The Big Shot Plus can take wider materials than the Big Shot (9 inch versus 6 inch). By: lpooh47 (07-Oct-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • I honestly don't know the difference. I was using a Cuttlebug and the Big Shot is SO much better. I remember asking my stamping store what the difference was before I purchased this one. Obviously, the differences weren't important enough for me to spend the extra money. I love my new machine. By: Vparis (29-Jul-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! I'm considering getting a die cut machine. From those who have used/own them, what is the best one in your opinion? For ease of use and any brand dies that work with them, there is so much to think about and I'm becoming confused. Any wisdom to offer in making a choice?   By: User (27-Feb-18) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I have a Sizzix Big Shot and I have loved using it over the years (I think I have had my machine for close to 10 years now). A year or two ago, something wasn't working correctly on my machine. My dad helped me take it apart and we noticed that a part needed to be replaced. I called Sizzix and they sent me replacement parts at no cost. Now my machine is working perfectly once again. I have used Sizzix branded dies, Spellbinders dies and a few other brands of wafer thin dies. They all cut well using my Big Shot. By: ChristineRae (23-Mar-18) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Can I use spellbinder dies with this machine and will it emboss?   By: User (10-Jan-18) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I have an older version of the Big Shot and it works perfectly with Spellbinder dies. You can emboss with it as well. When you want to emboss something you need to adjust the tabs on the cutting platform. The directions for cutting and embossing are printed on the cutting platform so you know which tabs to use when cutting or embossing. • tell me why I would buy this product over a Cuttlebug. I have the Cuttlebug, but I have the itch to get a new machine.   By: porsche (01-Dec-17) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • I think that the Big Shot is sturdier and easier to use. I used a Cuttlebug at a local scrapbooking store and it just didn't seem as solid when using the crank on it. I am very happy that I decided to purchase the Big Shot over the Cuttlebug. By: ChristineRae (23-Mar-18) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. • I find the big shot handle easier to turn. I use a cuddle bug when making cards at class. On my own I use the big shot and prefer it. By: Brluedeke2 (04-Dec-17) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!
